Caramel Sauce Ice Cream Topping
Gooey, golden, and irresistibly rich—this homemade caramel sauce brings that classic, buttery sweetness to your favorite frozen desserts. It’s perfect for drizzling over a scoop of vanilla or folding into your next sundae.


Ingredients:

  • 1¼ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • ⅓ cup plus 1 tablespoon heavy cream

Directions:

  1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, add the sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar melts and turns liquid.
  2. Crush any lumps of sugar against the side of the pan and continue to stir until it reaches a golden brown color. Tip: If lumps remain, remove the pan from the heat and stir vigorously until they dissolve.
  3. Return the pan to the heat and slowly add the corn syrup, stirring quickly to combine.
  4. Add a pinch of salt, then gradually pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly until smooth.

Yields: About 2½ cups
